ROBIN HOOD JUNIORS QUALIFY FOR NATIONALS

Robin Hood Juniors put the disappointment of finishing runners up in the recent Warwickshire Junior League final behind them when they, not only won the Warwickshire Junior Team Qualifier held on The Kings course at The Warwickshire on Sunday 9th October, but also took first and second place in the individual event.

Each Club in Warwickshire can submit a mixed team of 3 juniors to play the 18 hole Stableford event off full handicap.

The team of Lewis Hague, Lucas Laurie and Harrison Kentish finished ahead of close rivals The Warwickshire and Olton.

The winning team goes forward to compete in the English Junior Champion Club event in 2017 which is to be held at Woodhall Spa during Golf Week next  August.

As Robin Hood won the team event one team member at least would be expected to be individual prize winners, however both Lewis Hague and Lucas Laurie from Robin Hood were on the podium scoring 34 and 33 points respectively and taking 1st and 2nd place in the individual competition.

The winning Club hosts the event in the following year, so we will be looking forward to fielding a team to attempt to become the 2018 qualifiers when it is played at Robin Hood next Autumn.
